Hey guys, I need some help deciding if I should trade my 2.5K PC + 350$ for a 5.5K alienware with 880m sli and a I7 4940mx
I'm thinking of selling the laptop once I traded with him but not sure how much can I sell it for.
So should I do it? Can I make any profit? Or should I just sell it for 2.5k.

Keep in mind that nobody wants to buy used computers at full price. Even if you paid 2.5K for it, you'll be hard pressed to sell it for 1.5K.

$5500 for a laptop? I think you might be getting conned here - even the highest end Sager / Clevo laptops start at $1850, the Razer Edge retails for $2400. There's no way that an Alienware is worth that much. And even if it is chances are it's depreciated by half its' value by now.

Wow, that is quite a laptop! That CPU is on the same level as the desktop i7s and the dual 880M graphics are theoretically on the performance level of a single GTX 980 (just going off synthetic benchmarks).

If you need the laptop form factor, sounds like a good deal!

That laptop is insane. Although the sad reality of buying a laptop that expensive is that they depreciate extremely quickly and have limited upgrade possibilities.
