I am building a pc and am looking for it to also double as a home theater system. I am also going to upgrade my receiver and was wondering if I needed to get a good sound card or would the receiver take care of the audio? My specs are listed below:

Mother board: Asus Z97-A

Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz

Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SuperClocked 2GB

Sound Card: Auzentech X-Fi Home Theater HD 7.1 Soundcard

Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR636 7.2 Channel 4K AV Receiver

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How would I get audio to the receiver? optical? and would that deliver 7.1 in all its glory? or would HDMI or RCA deliver better quality?
