I had to downgrade the GPU to an R9 280,but you can always OC it to get it to the R9 280X clock speed.
This build can last for 2 years max and then you will need to upgrade your parts.
All the best,mate. :)

It's a locked CPU,so he can't OC it,and he said he wants to.
Also, even if he had an unlocked CPU,the mobo isn't really good for overclocking.
Why a $150 PSU? A Seasonic S12II 620W is $70 and it is plenty for his build.
Where the SSD go?

They both perform the same, with one card being better in some games than the other and vice versa.

P.S: The build I mentioned above has an r9 290 and a 4690k and costs around $920.

Better get a 4690K and a better GPU than i7 4790K and a weaker GPU.
R9 280 and GTX 770 are really close, but if you OC the R9 280,the 280 might prove to be better in some cases.
I would expand my $900 budget to $1000 budget and get an i5 4690K and R9 290 or GTX 780.
That would be the best possible choice.
Put that in my build(http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3hHBFT) and you will have a great build.

Yeah,the Windforce is good.
EVGA's ACX,Gigabyte's Windforce and ASUS' DirectCUII are great for GTX cards.
Sapphire's Dual-X,Tri-X and Vapor-X,Gigabyte's Windforce and ASUS' DirectCUII are great for AMD cards.

G.Skill Sniper 1600/1866 MHz CL9 RAM is the best option.
To be honest,1333 MHz RAM isn't much different that 1866 or 2133 MHz RAM.

No,not really.
If you're gonna OC the 4690K at 4.3 GHz and above, then you might consider getting either a Corsair liquid cooler or a Noctua NH-D14.
If you're gonna overclock it to let's say 4.2 GHz,then a Hyper 212 EVO will suffice.
