What is better AMD or Intel for these specific games?

I play games such as Mechwarrior 4, Sims 3 (eventually 4), and MineCraft. I might get into iRacing or some sort of racing game, nothing FPS... I also want to stream/record... So what is better for my application? A FULL AMD build (AMD Processor, AMD Video, etc) or a FULL Intel build (Intel Processor, NVidia Video, etc)? I'm thinking either one of these 2 builds...

Solution
In terms of streaming you need to look at multiple things that will determine a good stream. Not just your hardware but upload is very important. A upload speed of 10 down is pretty decent. Higher the better, in terms of software use OBS.

Now to the hardware issue. Both AMD and Intel is nice; if you're looking for raw CPU power Intel is a bit better than AMD but AMD tends to be cheaper. Far as NVidia goes you can easily couple a 280x with a haswell CPU so you don't NEED to buy a NVIDIA card.

When it comes to streaming games upload stream is more important than hardware but of course hardware will also determine frames dropped and in game lag. If you're running games that are not hardware intensive the most important factor is upload...

What's your budget? I can throw a little list together for you.

Edit: btw investing in a capture card will take the stress off of your cpu when streaming and they're relatively cheap.

Solution
Whats your budget for a build? What build is best is highly budget dependent.

MW4, Sims 3, and MineCraft don't require strong hardware, if these are the only games you want to play you can get by with a fairly inexpensive build if you want to have the capability of handling new games that are coming out soon then you will need a more expensive build, but playing and streaming those games could easily be handled by an APU unless you intend to run a ton of minecraft mods.

If you have the money, take an I7 4790k. They rip amd's high end chips (fx 9590) apart like air, while still being in a good price spot. If money is not an issue, you could even go with an I7 5960x, however that is not really beneficial at this time, due to reliance on single core performance on games.

I was thinking of getting a capture card, of course but using xsplit for streaming. I have and am physically limited to 12Mbps down and .80 up where I'm living. No cable. Not thinking much in price... i have my builds on pcpartpicker i just want to know what is better cause everyone has own opinions, personally i like intel but intel pcs are having issues with flash player and a few other things and the issues i hear about amd machines are compatibility with games

Intel cpu's have no problems with flash player, amd cpu's have no problems with games. However, amd cpu's might not be strong enough for gaming, just as intel cpu's may too. Current intel cpu's are just a lot stronger than amd cpus at the moment.

I just did't know if these particular games preferred running better on one or the other... Ok, I get it... the build I'm thinking of is half this with adding the other half later... half is about a $2000 build... (without fans, monitors, 2nd video card, and only 2 of the 4 RAM)

Thats a hilarious build. Hilariously awful for your stated use case....

You list MW4, Sims 3, and Minecraft, all of which can run well on an old Core 2 Duo yet you list a build priced out at 4600? What are you really using this system for because there is no reason for even a single 780Ti for those games, nor is there a reason for the i7-4930k for gaming, actually there isn't a reason for the i7-4930k at all now that the i7-5820k is out for about half the price.

Unless you are doing video editing, rendering, or engineering simulations that build is a horrible waste of money, you are even spending $200 on fans.... that many fans will HURT your temperatures, not help them. Tune that build wayyyyy back, you shouldn't be dropping more than $2k on any computer ever unless it is what is earning you your entire living.

That build is truly bad, sorry to say. For that money, you could get a good bit stronger build with I7 5820k, a x99 mobo and ddr4 ram, while even saving money.
Unless asthetics are extremely important to you, go with a noctua nh-d15. Cheaper, quieter, stronger.

For $4500, this is what you could get:

Note: Unlock the gpu's to 290x's.

However, for the games listed, absolute overkill. A $1000 setup would not have any problems with those games.

That's a really bad upload speed for internet sorry to hear that. you don't have fiber optics in your area? Streaming at a decent quality will be impossible.

I agree with hunter on your build that's hella overkill for what you're trying to accomplish. Even if you're streaming you shouldn't spend more than 1300 dollars. Not to mention the games you're running, you don't need that kind of power. With a capture card you can get away with a duel core even and still stream without a drop in fps.

Ya'll miss the point, 1st its only a $2000 build if u read my freaking post right... 2nd I want something that I don't have to upgrade for at least 10 years, thus the overkill... 3rd i know what the issue with nvidia is now, some games seem to crash a lot unless the driver is in beta... its happening to 2 people i know and they play completely different games, one plays games lol WoW the other playst minecraft and sims and various other games

You can spend 15k and it will get outdated in 3 years. Futureproofing is not possible. Its better to conserve money now and then upgrade down the road other than throw your wallet around now.

Not future proofing, just when i do the build i want to be sure i can run something they make years from now, all my previous pcs were handmedowns and always 10 years outdated... my current pc plays minecraft at 25fps and sims 3 at 9fps... ant thats on super low res... its running 775 chip and ddr2 ram

you know, if I keep getting the shitty stuff like you suggest, then I will never be happy with what I get... there are NO computers out there for $1000 that can run the way I want it to run...

if you still can't see the picture, here I'll post the damn build I was talking about!

is it overkill? maybe but it's better than any name brand shit for this price!

All I wanted is to know what was better for these games, I didn't need rudeness nor for me to be told it's overkill... and these days when you say it's crap, that means it sucks, so if you think it sucks then blah blah blah, if you want to give me a snarky remark about this post, just remember, you started the rudeness, eye for an eye and such...
