Was just wondering which of these is better as Amazon has a great deal on the a10 but I would also have to spend more money on RAM and the performance may not be as good as a athlon x4 760k with a 1gb gddr5 GPU with 4 gb's of slower RAM compared to 8 gb's of much faster RAM. I plan on using it as a budget light gaming build that can play games on medium-high (maybe even ultra high) settings at a decent frame rate. Really need a PC upgrade and my family is rather poor so anything to save a few dollars even if there is a slight downgrade in performance is worth it in my eyes. Also what about something like a gtx 750 vs gtx 750 ti. Is there really enough of a difference to spend the extra $40-50 dollars on the 750ti. Any help as I really need to make a decision soon.

R7 265 normally 10% faster, it does use more power, but often the Nvidia 750 Ti is $150 and the R7 265 usually closer to $145. Then they have MIR, sometimes the Nvidia 750 Ti has it also but still not cheaper.

This is the cheapest R7 265, after MIR in discount codes its only $107.50...

Did a little bit of research and R7 265 seemed to be more expensive, took more power, and didn't have a significant enough difference in performance to justify it. I couldn't fine a 265 for under $150 while the 750 ti is often $130-120.

This is the cheapest Nvidia GTX 750 Ti, which after all discounts and rebates only comes down to $129.99

Granted you might need to get a better PSU for the R7 265 but that extra $20 will let you do that if you need to. The end result worst comes to worst is you have a faster graphics card but don't save any money. If your PSU is about 450w or higher then the end result is you save $20 and get a faster card.

Ok didn't see that one on the list when I checked the 265 in pcpartpicker for some reason. so a 450 watt psu should be fine. I found a decent looking rosewill one for $20 that looks like it should work.

I'm not a PSU expert, so I'm not sure how good Rosewill PSUs are, but it might be fine. I would advise you make a new thread for that in the PSU section so that some people will jump in and help you. Just tell them your budget and the one you are considering and they will tell you if that PSU is fine or find the best one for that price.
