Mains Cable

All this is going to cost £636

I hope this is a good enough build to play some demanding games on good settings.

Solution
This will play games at high, not max settings.

It is a pretty decently designed system.

PSU is not great and I would change to an XFX, Antec, Seasonic unit.
Here would be my tweaks to your build. I didn't include a sound card as most people don't need them unless you are into recording music or something with your computer. This should get you closer to max settings on quite a few games, and was able to squeeze in a SSD.

Thanks tiny voices. Here is the same build without the SSD. And with money saved, I upped the GPU to a 280x. I personally would rather have the SSD and just overclock the 280 as much as I could.

Yea I knew the PSU is not that great. I only recommended it because I had one that lasted me about 2 years of use and is still going. But that doesn't mean they are all like that. I don't know much about that board though, so thanks for filling me in.

I suppose he would have to spend another $20-40 to get a nice board. And I think the XFX 550 watt non modular is like $46...so only another $3 more than the EVGA I listed. Do you think 550 would be enough for that build with an 280x?
