Yes it will be 100% compatible. PCIex16 is both backwards and forward-compatible from version 1.0 to 3.0.

There isn't a single gpu made that fully utilizes the entire bandwidth of PCIe 3.0, even a card such as a 780ti will not fully utilize PCIe 2.0's entire bandwidth. Where the difference between 2.0 and 3.0 bandwidth really comes into play is with multiple gpu such as 3x and 4x. Nvidia cards are great at backwards compatibility, having no restrictions at all, so will work even in very old systems using PCIe 1.0, Amd is not so fortunate, most all Amd PCIe 3.0 cards are only backwards compatible to PCIe 2.2 (which is all the newish generations of boards) needing an older style gpu to handle PCIe 1.0 and PCIe 1.1-2.2. Your gtx760 will be absolutely fine on your current board and any you upgrade to in the nearish future.
