i5 or i7 need help

i am a new gamer
i dont know much about gaming
i currently have an
intell i5 3470
8 gb ram
msi 7870
if i upgrade to i7 3770 will it improve my pc performance and gaming score ??????? to what extenct will my pc performance will increase can someone elaborate>>>forgive my english mistakes if any

To improve that gaming system you need to upgrade the GPU and not the CPU. Your current CPU can max out any game

Your build is still great for gaming,I wouldn't bother upgrading anything.
Wait for the GTX 800 and 900 series to come out and then get that,i5 4690K and a Z97 motherboard.

No, if you want to increase fps get a new gpu

Get an R9 290 and you will see a decent amount of FPS difference between the 7870 and the R9 290.
Don't worry,the 3470 won't bottleneck it.

It's good,but don't expect to play games at full ultra.
I have an i5 4460 and an R9 270X and I can play latest games at medium--high.
