HI guys!
I have a very slow hdd with 250 GB storage. Loading games and booting up is very slow and it gets like 5.5 on windows disk transfer rate. today i found a very very cheap 1 TB external harddrive and wonder if i could buy it and install windows and my games on it and use it instead and get better speed.

The drive is (usually) the same. Pumping it through the enclosure and then USB is what is slow.

dont know the name but, its for about 250 swedish crowns so 30 dollars. it is used not new.

Hello,

Are you using a laptop or a destop PC? If it is a PC and if you can easily open the HDD external enclosure, you could install the 1TB HDD in the PC, with way better performance.

Used external....not a good location to rely on for a boot drive.

So a externa doesnt have to be slower than a normal hdd
