Hello, thank you to anyone who may respond to my post! This is a new build I've mocked up and before I purchase it, I thought it would be prudent to get some other opinions. If there appear to be any compatibility issues or better suggestions please don't hesitate to share!

RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL x 2 for total of 16gigs.

MOBO - ASRock Z97 Extreme3 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. Went with this mobo to save a little $ but not sacrifice much performance.

Vcard - MSI Gaming N770 TF 4GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

PSU - Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply. Dual 12v rail @40amps for potential sli later on.

CPU - Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I74790K

SSD - SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE250BW 2.5" 250GB SATA 6Gb/s 1x nm Samsung Toggle DDR 2.0 3-Bit MLC NAND Flash Memory (400Mbps) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

HDD - Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Will be running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit-OEM, with 3 x ASUS VS239H-P Black 23" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Monitor 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1, IPS Panel. Have an older creative labs audio card and other parts.

Any opinions on the compatibility or functionality of these components would be greatly appreciated. Reason for the build is for Stock trading and gaming.

Thank you very much!

Here's a good 780, but it costs more.

I would take the newegg reviews with a grain of salt. I put more faith into professioanlly done reviews rather than some anonymous persons. Here's a couple of reviews on the 290x version of that card(same cooler as the 290)

I have 2 4gb gtx 770's in SLI and I love them but if I had that money to spend now I would have got the 290s. When I bought my 770s the 290 was just coming out and were ungodly expensive due to miners, and aftermarhet cards were just starting to arrive and the...

Well there is a few things I would change. If you want 16Gb of ram(overkill for your needs) get 2x8Gb sticks using 4x4gb sticks can over-stress the memory controller. For what the 4Gb gts 770 costs you can get a faster 4Gb r9-290. for SLi or crossfire I would suggest getting atleast a 850w PSU.

Thank you very much for your suggestions bignastykid!! I am unfamiliar with Radeon graphics cards. I've used nvidia for years but it does appear that the particular card you picked is faster. I only thought of the 16gigs of ram and the higher end vcard to avoid having to upgrade too soon. Just want a machine that can run 3 monitors for gaming and trading. Potentially upgrade to 6 monitors in future when I have the money for trading purposes. Is there any difference between a psu using 2 x 12v rails versus the one you picked that uses only 1 x 12v rail @ higher amps? I appreciate your suggestions/opinion!

They eat alot of power and produce alot of heat and if they are not proper powered or cooled they will have issues. The cards with the reference coolers for example should be avoided unless you plan a removing the stock heatsink and installing a 3rd party air solution or water cooling.

Well I was more or less looking to buy the card you suggest but once I read the reviews on newegg I saw it had horrendous ratings and issues. I have picked up the RAM and PSU you suggest, I'm still on the fence about graphics card. Hard to choose between a higher performance beast (r9-290) and a astoundingly revered card that has perfect reviews and stabilit/cooling (msi nvidia 770GTX). I really appreciate your assistance bignastyid, I want you to know it means a lot.

Have any thoughts on 780GTX vs r9-290? They're almost the same price generally speaking aside from the one you found that has the 15% off.

Alright after doing some more reading I think I am more comfortable going with the GTX780 for the time being and will either SLI them in future or perhaps just upgrade to a better single card at some point. I read the professional reviews and the personal reviews of people from like newegg etc, and the one thing they all agreed on was the cooling/noise factory. So for stability purposes without having to shell out a lot more $$ for immense cooling system I'll roll with the 1 GTX780 you recommended by ASUS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Bignastyid. You've been absolutely awesome!! Wish more people were like you. I salute you sir or ma'am.
