so far all is installed but when connecting the second gpu to psu via ,modular cable pci e 6pin computer does not boot, flicker then off.the cables provided with the psu seem to be too many and the cables have a different colour plug and different sleevinf terminal which tells me they are from another psu?? would this be the reason or is there something more sinister going on?

one of the modular cables works and has same sleeving and a black plug one end and red to connect to psu?

Have you got your 4 6pin connectors for your 2 gpus? The 24pin and the 6pin plugged In for the Mobo and CPU? Is everything plugged in correctly? WAIT! Refer to your PSU's user guide. The different colour cables could have different uses

Having inspected the cables I have noticed a difference in wiring configuration. So obviously the seller has added modular cables most likely newer spec I've now rewired the cable and will try it after work today. It seems likely the issue though

I assumed pci-e cables would be a standard and where the pci-e end is, the connection to the various psu's is evidently not. Whether that be due to new/old spec or just different manufacturers I don't know.
