Is my CPU cool enough?

I have recently installed multiple upgrades to my desktop. I replaced the stock CPU Cooler, added a discrete GPU (Nvidia GT 730) and have added a rear exhaust fan. I have been monitoring the CPU temperatures through Speccy and HWmonitor and have noticed an idle temperature of 53 degrees, and a temperature of 60-78 degrees when running applications such as Minecraft and TF2. Sometimes this can briefly reach above 80 degrees. My case temperature readings are at 30 idle and about 37-45 while using. Is this at all bad? I haven't noticed any performance degrades.

Usually you want the fan to blow from front to back (toward the ports). An up/down orientation might mean you need to rotate the heatsink 90 degrees. That might also improve the contact with the CPU. The CoolerMaster website doesn't have the installation instructions that I can view, but I BET that it should be oriented with the narrow part of the heatsink pointed to the graphics card.

My heat sink (CoolerMaster Hyper T2) can only blow the the air up or towards the bottom of the case. I currently have it blowing down. Should I reverse the direction? I'll check on tightening the heatsink in a bit.

I'm trying to position the cooler so that it does blow over the ports, but I cant get it to connect with the motherboard. The clip can only fit in a way that allows the cooler to connect facing up or down
