You are using the motherboards graphics?

Maybe they are not supported for some reason .

Yes I am using the motherboards graphics but this problem is very recent as I have had more options in the past on the same pc.

Anyway, try this. I don't know which drivers you used but apparently the CCC 14.4 drivers are a no go with your card.

Download the drivers below and Display driver uninstaller and then try uninstalling the current drivers using Display driver uninstaller and install the 13.1 drivers after the process is complete. It will require you to reboot into safe mode, which the uninstaller will do automatically during the process.

Display driver uninstaller:

AMD Catalyst software suite legacy drivers:

I haven't tried this yet but I'm assuming it will work although I'm a bit worried to use the driver uninstaller for fear that it will delete the drivers I need.

It only removes the display drivers. It does not remove drivers for other devices nor does it remove the installation package for the new drivers that you downloaded but didn't install yet. Make sure to select the AMD option when it starts and click yes to allow it to boot into safe mode when it asks you.

Keep in mind that when it reboots after uninstalling everything the display will probably look funky until you install the new driver package.

SOLVED

after a lot of headache, ive got all my GPU options back, including overscan, which was needed to correct the block border problem.

1 uninstall previous AMD software

2 re-install the latest driver exe using WIN7 compatibility mode.( right click on driver install file >>properties>>compatibility)

I figured out that its not the drivers but the fact that my integrated graphics are no longer supported on windows 8.1 but thanks anyway :)
