How to turn on my PCI-E slots without the use of a monitor?

Hey guys i have a problem. I was updating a program in my computer and it seemed to have turned off my pci-e slots. How can i turn them back on if i cannot see it on my monitor? is there a way you can do it manually?

Motherboard=MSI Z97 Gaming 7
GPU= MSI Geforce GTX 750

check to see if the onbord video is working. plug your monitor cable in. if there no video that way. turn the pc off clear the cmos and see if the video turns on if there no video pull the gpu to force the onboard video chipset to come on.

ok i tried that and it didnt work. My mother board does not have a vga port on it, instead it has 2 HDMI ports and theyare not working either. Do you have any other suggestions?
