AMD Radeon R7 240 and ATI FireMV 2250

Hello community,

I have a AMD Radeon R7 240 PCIe x16 and a ATI FireMV 2250 PCIe x1 video card and I am trying to make them work together. My motherboard is a ASRock 960GC-GS FX. I currently have these cards because of my SFF build.

I can get the cards to run on their own but not together. From what I am reading online they shouldn't have issues working together. OS is currently Windows 7 Home Prem.

Any advice would be helpful. I would like to avoid buying new cards.

Run together as in crossfire?

Hello,

Usually you cannot use a consumer graphics card together with a professional one. While possible, there are too much differences between drivers, each one being optimized for certain applications.

My goal is to run a 3 monitors on my SSF, The R7 240 for gaming and the 2250 for the other two monitors.

It seems like there maybe a driver conflict because they just refuse to work right at the same time.

The differences between the two cards are too much as he mentioned, so yes, I doubt they can run together and even if they do, you'll face a lot of conflicts.
