Hello,
So as a lot of people have issues with it, the Noctua fans are pretty ugly. I don't really mind them, but I am curious about whether it would be possible to replace them with something like corsair fans. Would that change its performance or is the heat synch what makes the NH d14 so great?
Thanks!

You can replace the stock fans on the NH-D14 with any fan that has 120mm mounting screws. However you have to make sure that the holes do not run from one end of the fan to the other.

NOT like this

This picture shows how the fans are mounted via little plastic brackets

The performance might suffer if the fans you use are worse that the included fans. But it shouldn't be more than a couple of degrees.

Noctua fans are the best in performance and silence to have. People who want the silence as well as performance change their stock radiator fans on liquid coolers to noctua.

Better just go for a different cooler in same category and save cost of replacing fans like;

Phanteks PH-TC14CS

be quiet! Dark Rock 3

I was considering the Phanteks, is that as good as the Noctua?

You'll see 1-3C differences in cooling, if that's of no significance i.e. won't be intensively overclocking, go for the aesthetics of the Phanteks, great cooler with very nice colour options
