I really like the idea of gsync. To me it adds another level of future proofing to my rig, since frame drops will be a lot less noticeable.

I plan to use this with the 4690k, so LGA 1150
I have a corsair 680x PSU
Need USB 3
ESata ( with the ability to run multiple drives through one port. I can't remember the name of that feature. )
No sli/xfire plans.
1080p gaming till the end of time. Eyes can't see better and like not having to upgrade as often.
Budget is around what it would cost for what tom says is the best bang for the buck at any level. The r9 290

What CPU are you getting? The socket is very important when choosing a motherboard.

As for the GPU, the r9 290 is a good card.... except that it doesn't support GSync. Only Nvidia cards support GSync.

If you're going to get Nvidia, I recommend a GTX 780 Ti for a high budget, 760 for a mid range budget, and a 750 Ti if you have a really low budget.
