I know that building is cheaper gives this great sense of pride, but i don't know the first thing about this, and reading into part reviews it seems like a whole lot can go wrong, my budget is 700-750, so my question is should i try building it or relieve all of my stress and go rebuilt?

Building is definitely better, and not one person on this forum especially will recommend otherwise. Building is for one thing cheaper, and who does not like to save money? Secondly, you know your own parts much better than those of a pre-built, so if something ever does go wrong, it'll be much easier to solve the issue. Lastly, you can build your computer to meet your exact requirements, which is great. And building is not even difficult.

When you buy a pre-built you are also paying for the team that designed the exact build, and for the marketing. A custom build is always best, an you sure do get a lot of pride!

DIY will usually save you a bit of cash and give you a better idea of how things work.
There is also a risk doing it yourself when you haven't done it before.

I killed a mobo before by accidentally bending the cpu pins. Most smaller shops charge little to nothing to build if you buy all the components from them. That would have been much cheaper than a new board.

Components can also be finicky. Upgraded last week, put 2x4Gb ram sticks in, system shows only 4Gb.
Re-seat, swap sticks, swap channels. Same.
Test each stick in each slot. Thats 8 tests with 8 restarts. Every stick and slot works fine. Put both back in as they were originally and now 8Gb shows up. WTF.

To me, a computer is a tool. I don't want to waste time getting the tool to work. It's supposed to work FOR me, not the other way round.
