Should I Go With This Cooler or the 212 EVO?

Solution
A SSHD is essentially a SSD married to a HD as a single component. It is designed so that the algorythyms recognize your usage patterns and put the most often used stuff on the SSD part and the less important stuff on the HD part.

I no longer bother with SSDs until the other aspects of the build are maxed out..... in other words, unless it has top end GFX (290x, 780 or 780 Ti) and 4790k, I will upgrade to those 1st.
The 4690k already goes to 3.9 Ghz outta the box w/ the stock cooler.

As far as those two .... there's hardly any difference in the heat sinks but the extra fan on the DN should lead to better cooling. You should be able to hit 4.3 \ 4.4 Ghz w/ either depending upon what temps ya happy with. A Phanteks for $2=15 extra will take 7 - 10C off the 212.

Other things ya might consider

You'll get a lot more gaming performance out of a GFX card upgrade than ya will out of a SSD.

Here's come 2133 CASA 9 memory that's cheaper
$87 - 10% off w/ promo code EMCPAPF35, ends 9/10 $79

I wouldn't buy any Corsair PSU with a"C" in the model no.

What PSU should I get that is like $80 from newegg, Also should i just go with 212 EVO, and A lot of people said I should get an SSD, I had a R9 290 before.

SSDs are great for bragging rights and WEI scores but really have very little impact in every day usage. Following tests were done on a 4770k box w/ 16 GB memory:

7200 rpm HD Boot Time = 21.6 seconds
7200 rpm SSHD Boot Time = 16.5 seconds
SSD Boot Time = 15.6 seconds

We also have 2 lappies, one with SSD + HD, one with SSHD ..... no one could tell the difference.

As for the cooler, if you are willing to spend $45 for the Xigmatek you should spend $60 for the Phanteks.....its 7 -10C better. If $45 is straining the budget, then get the $25 EVO, .... just remember .... it's "great budget" cooler .... that doesn't make it a "great cooler". If all you want is 4.0 Ghz, the 0.1 Ghz shouldn't bother the stock cooler. After all the 4790k goes to 4.4 Ghz on the stock cooler.

I saw the 280/2809x as the highlight of the R9 series but with the Asus 780 at $420 and dropping (I assume due to the rumored release of the 880) ..... I find 280x - 290x is harder to make a case for, especially if overclocking where the 780 tops the 290x (see 8:40 mark)

As for the PSU ....750 is good for two 280x's so I assume that's why ya went big

$75 after $20 MIR XFX Core Edition 750

What is an SSHD? Is this one: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st2000dx001

I put an SSHD in instead of a HDD+SDD - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gMW4P6

I don't think you'll miss it.

Still....Id get the faster memory for less money and get the better PSU

And again w/ 980 / 970 cards dropping in 12 days, I wouldn't buy a GFX card until the price reshuffle. The $500 980 beats the 780 Ti, the $399 970 beats the 290 ....so all prices about to go south

What graphics card should I go with then?

Again, I'd make that choice when the prices drop....

To my mind, the Asus 780 at $420 is the best buy on newegg but I say some good prices on some R9s on partpicker that weren't anywhere near that on newegg ..... so I guess newegg hasn't caught up yet.

The $530 780 Ti is a pretty cheap price too on the surface but considering that the 980 is faster and is reported to be $499, why get a last gen card that's slower for more $ ?

The $399 970 is faster than the 290 so no more 290s at $400 - $470. Overclocked, it's expected to top every single GPU card we can buy today.
http://videocardz.com/52166/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-gtx-970-gtx-980m-gtx-970m-3dmark-performance

If that proves true, there won't be a single card on the market today that will be worth over $400 ..... again **if** that holds true. When the 780 Ti came out, it drive the 780 price down $200 in one day.

So I'd wait 11 days and see what happens.
