Everytime i leave my newly built PC in idle for about an hour or so it blue screens and i get the error in the title. I'm running windows 7.

Could it be my SSD?
Also when i try to update windows i cant update some internet explorer 11 update it always fails, not sure if this is related.

Anyways:

Boot into Safe Mode (F8) and do a Computer Repair - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/advanced-sta...

What files does the dump file refer to? if ntoskrnl - do a clean reinstall of graphics card drivers.

Also do a Checkdisk and virus scan (eg Avast, Malwarebytes)

Sorry for being so noob this is my first pc build and i dont know a whole lot, how do i perform a computer repair i nsafe mode, do i need my startup disk?
How do I open the file dump? it keeps saying access denied when i try open it with notepad.

Update: when i try to configure a device in troubleshoot, it finds a "PCISimple Communications Controller" driver to install. However it fails to install because:

Read the link I posted. It shows you how to use Safe Mode.

You need to Google how to open dump files eg http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-U...

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=922C14B3D6F51587!195&authkey=!ABfdy-NwyZOmd3k&ithint=file%2crar

thats a link to all the .dmp files taht happened today.

I tried to do a full virus scan off my computer using Norton. Everytime i try do a full scan it blue screens. the files in that link are some of those bluescreens.

So two things - hardware failure and driver failure.

Go through Control Panel, Device Manager and check whether they are all working properly and their driver is up to date

do a Checkdisk and virus scan (eg Avast, Malwarebytes)

So everything is up to date except PCISimple Communications controller. This wont update as i get the error windows could not find driver software for your device.

I also performed a checkdisk and it went through it all ok

Its a controller on your motherboard to control how your pcie slots work with eg graphics cards, wifi cards, pcie storage devices, etc etc

The driver should be downloaded from your motherboard's website.

Post your complete build in detail.

i just installed:

Intel Management Engine Interface
(Note) Please installing Microsoft Hot fix first, if operation system is Windows 7.

(i think that relates to the PCI) The PCI controller is gone. I think we may ahve fixed it!

I'm gonna download the rest and see if they need to be updated. I'm gonna go to bed and let my computer idle all night and ill see if its bluescreened by the morning. THANK YOU!

OK. If there's still problems, install the UEFI (Easy Tune) that came on the disk with your motherboard. Post your cpu temps - at idle and while gaming. It could be your cpu getting too hot too.

remove your overclocking software you have installed and running. after you have done that I can look at a memory .dmp file again to see if I can see a cause. If the problem is in a driver, you would want to use verifier.exe and set debugging flags and increase the memory dump file type from a minidump to a kernel dump. Then wait for the next bugcheck and put it up on a server share.

Hey i think i found the problem.

If you look at the dumps i posted, there is an error with the process: ubssrv_oc_only
I googled the process and apparently Gigabyte App Centre apps use this process commonly. It is also apparently known that Norton can bug out when the app centre is using is. so i deleted the app centre and all seems to work fine now. I looked at what the app centre had and its never something id use anyway so its not a big deal not having it.

I'll wait a week to see if all goes well.

Thanks for your time and help, without you guys i would never of been able to fix it
