i'm deciding wether to go with 4670k or 4690, the 4670k series are $20 dollar more
so is it worth it or not? and if yes just how much performance boost i can get in about 4.0-4.5 Ghz from the 4670k over the 4690? what about the heat issue?

Gaming purpose

thanks

well the i5 4690k are $40 more expensive than the i5 4690, and right now for the rig i want to build, i think i cant spend another $40... as much as i can, $20 is the max i can spare...

The 4690 is more energy and thermal efficient, but the 4670k supports OCs. At stock speeds the 4690 is better, but once you being to OC the 4670k will perform better.

so i5 4690k still better than i5 4670k at same clock speed maybe 4.5 ghz? and just how much performance boost i will get from 3.9ghz to 4.0-4.5 ghz ? since using turbo could increase the clock speed to 3.9ghz without OCing

Always take K version. I love the option to overclock whenever i want to make it even faster.
