you don't have to include keyboard mouse monitor or cd/dvd drive

this is also my first time building

any feed back or pc parts lists would be much appreciated I may over clock I may not

cpu processor doesn't have to be brand specific I would like intel i5 4690k but I also don't want to spend 230$ for a cpu and then get a cheap graphics card/motherboard etc because of it

thanks!!!!

What will you be using the computer for?
Don't cheap-out on the graphics card. If you're mostly going to be using it for gaming, watching some movies, bit of internet etc etc, then get a lesser CPU (eg i5 4460) and something like an R9 270X.
Try using www.pcpartpicker.com website to come up with something, then post it back here so others can offer advice =)
Have fun with your first build!

Look Your budget is limiting you , you can't fit a 4690K and a good GPU in it.

The i5 4460 and the R9 280 will be a great combo for gaming furthermore the Corsair CX series aren't components which you can trust with your parts.

On a side note , a z87 mobo will require a bios update to use 4690K
