Hi,

My config is

CPU- Fx8350
Case- K281
Mobo- AsRock 990FX Extreme 4

I just bought 212X CPU cooler. It's of 158mm and my case supports fan upto 162mm. Why isn't it fitting then? I haven't tried attaching it by removing backplate etc. I just put it as it is for demo purpose to see if it fits, then only I'll apply thermal paste etc. But I noticed that it's not fitting. Will it fit after I put all nut and bolts?

Does it have to do with my motherboard? I see here that my mobo is not mentioned

BUMP! It's urgent I'm stuck with it. If it doesn't fit then I have to send it back to seller ASAP.

It should fit after putting the nuts and bolts, try that. Also, the fan should be on the RAM slots' side and pushing air out through the rear.

It didn't fit. I had to use hammer to bend the side panel a little. Now it's fit but it's touching the side panel case. Anything to worry about?

If its just touching the case (and the case is not pressing the cooler in), then it'd be fine. Can you provide some pics?

Below are the pics. I didn't put the top screw in panel (actually i was not able to) otherwise it would have pressed the cooler hard.

These are the results after 10 minutes of P95 test, after installing the cooler: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2291583/temps-fi...
