Need help after updating BIOS

I updated the BIOS of my z77 sabertooth motherboard (to ver 2104) the other day in preparation to attempt my first overclock. I updated from my thumbdrive. The update went fine, but I noticed afterward my SSD was not showing up in the boot menu. It showed my HDD and my optical drive, but not the SSD which actually has Windows installed. If I hit F8 I can see the SSD listed, but my system would not boot from it. After several attempts at changing things and restarts it finally booted. It has been working fine for the last few days, but I still don't see the SSD in the BIOS boot menu. I am still able to use programs and files from my SSD and the computer is booting up fine, but it seems really odd that I can't see my SSD pictured in the boot menu, but I can see it listed in my boot priority list. Any ideas? Thanks.

I tried doing that and it still doesn't show up at the bottom of the main BIOS window where it shows which order your drives will be used. To be honest I am not sure how it is even booting up. My HDD is listed first and my optical drive second, but neither has Windows installed on it.

I did that. The SSD doesn't show up at all at the bottom of the main BIOS screen to move it around. It only shows up when I hit F8 to look at my boot menu. It is listed as P2, but like I said it doesn't show up at the bottom where I can move my drives around to select the priority.

Off the top of my head I can't say about it being in sata port 0, I am at work and can't check atm. I can tell you that it has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years in the configuration I had before the BIOS update. I can't move it from P2 to P1 because it does not show up in the window at the bottom where I can drag my drives around to change the priority. If I try to do it after hitting F8 and selecting it there it just tries to boot from it not let me change its priority. I can move the 2 around that do show up at the bottom of the screen, but the SSD is not there. Yes I am sure it is the SSD that I am not seeing. The HDD is a wesWestern Digital and the SSD is a Corsair. When you cursor over the pictues at the bottom of the screen it shows their name.

It is defnitiely the updated BIOS version, it shows version 2104 at the top of the screen. I called ASUS. The support rep was very difficult to communicate with and didn't really seem to know what they were talking about. They suggested turning off the power and removing the motherboard battery for 10-15 minutes to reset it. I hadn't tried that yet since it started working.

I will double check that, but why do I need to add my SSD after the update? I didn't have to add my HDD. All the hardware has been in there for almost 2 years. Before the BIOS update I could see my SSD, HDD, and optical drive just like I should, but after the update only my SSD is missing.

Holy cow, just realized I have to remove the board from the case to pull the battery, thanks to the TUF armor. Yea, I think it is safe to say my BIOS isn't working as it should.
