Hi folks i've oc'd my 3570k to 4.2 ghz. I've set it so it only turbos up to that when i'm gaming and the like. I set it to offset mode in the bios and used an offset of +0.010v with medium loadline calibration. I also have some power saving stuff enabled. My vcore is maxing out in the 1.27v region when under load. I'm using an aftermarket cooler, freezer 7 pro rev 2.
I know every cpu differs but generally is that too much or too little voltage for a 4.2 oc? my temps are in the 60's when gaming. I'm very new to overclocking and Just want some pointers. I haven't had any crashes or blue screens, just want to make sure i'm ok with that voltage. Also considering the temps and voltage, how much farther can i realistically go with an oc? Don't really wanna go much further but it would be good to know.
