I just bought a lot of custom parts for my desktop that i am building and i had it built by a local store.

I have plugged everything in an when it asks me to "reboot and select proper bot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key", i inserted my Windows 8.1 disk and followed the instructions and then it started to work normally but then i shut off the computer, took out the 8.1 disk and tryed again it would not allow me to start it and replayed same message, "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key".

So i inserted the disk again and it made me install it all over again it then restarted the computer and then made me install it over again. It did this several times untill i called Microsoft seeking an answer and they gave me an iffy response along the line that my mother board wasn't compatible with Windows 8.1. As far as i know "everything" i have covers all the criteria to install 8.1 though.

My question is, is my motherboard really not compatible with Microsoft 8.1?

Here are all my specs- http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gyW4P6

The RAM in that link is probably not the RAM you actually have or your system wouldn't have booted at all.

Anyway,
Your mobo doesn't seem to officially support Windows 8.1 but I really doubt that that's the issue.

Did you make sure your boot order is set correctly in the BIOS?
