R9 270oc and 1920x1080 hd res

Guys I'm currently running at 1600x900 that the max my screen support will I have a heavy frame rate drop in games if I buy a hd screen an d run at hd res and are it worth it getting a hd screen and does the games look better on hd ? Thanks

You will get the best image quality playing at your monitor's native resolution.

If your current monitor maxes out at 1600x900 (1.44m pixels) and you are already getting frame drops, I would not go up to 1920x1080 (2.07m pixels).

I would try and see what is causing the frame drops first.

As the above person said, it's personal preference in terms of will the extra resolution will be worth it. When i moved from 720p to 1080p, i did notice the difference and for me was worth it; however i'm on a 23" screen and sit pretty close up... So it just depends on your situation and size of monitor whether or not it will be worth it. You shouldn't see a huge frame rate drop, though it will certainly be slightly lower. I also have an R9 270 0C

I got a phillips 20 inch led monitor and I'm play at the recommended res 1600x900 the max the screen support and I run most games high and ultra will I still. Be able to run high and ultra at 1080p ?

Depends on the games, mostly. Current high-end games usually need at least a R9 280 to max out at 1080p these days, but if you're playing older games, you may still be able to.
