Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 or Club3D Radeon HD 6790, which one is better for gaming at 1680x1050? I don't care about 6790's need for 6-pin connector, I just need a straight answer to know which one is faster?

More about : 7750 6790

Only GCN cards and above will have support for DX12 so it is pretty obvious less heat less power consumption more performance 7750 it is IMO

Also Mantle Support

They are almost identical , if you can afford the 7770 then that will be a much better choice.

However if that is your only option then get the newer 7750 ( R7 250X ).

If it were me i would go with the 6790, because the 7750 is only minimally better, and they overclock better than the 7750 does.

If you are talking price/performance ratio then the 7750 blows the 6790 out of the water. The 6790 uses about triple the wattage and has only slightly better performance. They both have their strong points, but I would go with the 7750. http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-HD-7750-vs-Radeon-HD-679...

I didn't include the 2 important points, I will probably never use mantle since I like DirectX more, and it's between 6790 and 7750 since I can get them for same price, used, 7770 is 20% more expensive on that site, and I can't afford that.

There are actually 2 versions of the 7750, the older 800mhz card or the 900mhz version though the latter needs a single 6 pin connection you can overclock it higher and it will touch 7770 perf. keep in mind that there is no guarantee if your card will be a good overclocker and the power draw will be much higher.

get the 7750 than imo if u like DX coz that card will support DX12 which is a lot better than DX11
