This isn't a 'which one is better' thread. I'm hoping some folks here can share their experience gaming on either 4K or the new 2560x1440 144hz rog swift with g-sync. Long story short, I sold my 780's a while ago and planned on getting some ti's and the rog swift...but I heard rumor of 4K with g-sync headed to consumers around late '14 or early '15. I initially waved off 4K...but now I'm reconsidering. Here's the deal, I'm not in a hurry and I have the money now. I'm waiting for enthusiast level 980's and will be buying a new monitor when I get those. I need you all to help me decide on a new monitor. It's not possible for me to try before buying, or else I would. 144hz at 2560x1440 sounds awesome...but 60hz 4K with g-sync sounds pretty good too. Any insight is appreciated.

I answered a lot of similar questions before. GSYNC will just remove the abnormalities better than vsync does, and thats it. With 4k you get 60fps even with strongest builds, and even if you get more, you can't see it because its in 60hz.

ROG SWIFT will be out on september 29th. Benefits of this monitor include gsync, but you also get 2560x1440 , 144hz, which with your graphics cards that you plan on getting is going to be a BLAST. Unless you have a 4k 120hz+ for gaming it's futile, 4k is mostly (at the moment) for people who do graphics design and music production.
