Nvidia's 900 Series Prices?

Solution
ok if so you must know,

960 299$
970 380$
980 499$

(rumored prices, and ti models not confirmed yet)

EDIT: Oh! and I looked a bit around and saw the performance increase was supposed to be 10% with better single floating point performance but worse double precision performance. I think you should wait a couple of weeks after the launch and see if the 780ti's fall sub 400$'s. That'd be awesome

:O :O XD oh well if you wish for a truly enthusiast no-compromise system, I guess it's a viable choice. The drivers would probably be optimised for Maxwell without much delay, with some hope. Happy purchase!!!!! :D

Maxwells have HUUUGE overclocking value. That's why I like when a 860M beats a 780M in Firestrike

well idk how to over clock ): but this is my build im making i know it can be over clocked http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XgPXMp

Overclocking instructions:

1. Yahoo or Goggle search "Guru3D [your card name]
2. Go to overclocking page
3. Copy the settings into Afterburner, GPUtweak or PrecisionX
4. See if you can do better.

You will need a CPU cooler to overclock the CPU....

Suggestion:

Also, the HAF-932 was a great case in it's day and one I used a lot in builds 3 - 5 years ago but it's a "bit long in the tooth" as the saying goes. Might I suggest the Phanteks Luxe with LED and fan control for 11 fans, best cable routing in the bizness and hidden PSU chamber.

Black or White is $150 - Great air cooling or mid level water cooling build.

You can get faster 2133 CAS memory cheaper.
$86.99 - 10% off w/ promo code EMCPAPF35, ends 9/10 = $78.29

That HD sits in 23rd place on THGs HD Gaming Charts

This one sits in 8th place

Good overclocking MB....missing RoG Gaming features if that's what ya going for. I'd look at the MSI Gaming and Asus RoG Series if gaming is your goal. Start at the MSI GD65 ($170) and Asus Hero ($205) which are very similar (almost identical) in features and construction.

The MSI G45 is also an outstanding board ... the Gaming Series (3, 5 and 7) look very interesting as does the Asus Ranger but I haven't used either as yet. I don't like to use 1st stepping boards as 1st releases of any new line I tend to steer away from.

im a gamer and I just raised my budget to a $2000 build and i kinda like this build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XgPXMp mainly because it supports 3way sli and i plan on getting 2 980's possibly 3 lol but could you possibly showme a build you would go with? im kinda collecting other peoples ideas and going to pick from one the one up top i really like right now but i do want to learn how to OC a gpu and CPU :p and i like that case does it have good airflow like the haf X and does it have tooless bays?

would the Asus SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK1 work with this build? because i no longer want 3 gpus i want 2 instead lol and would there be room for over clocking the cpu and gpu or no

I thought this was a gaming rig, not a workstation rig. This is what I would do with a $2168 total budget saving $100 for two 980s .... if that's too high, the thing you'd miss least is the SSD.

The Sabertooth is a great board, I'm just holding off on using them again for workstation builds until the BIOS fix is released.

well i would like to have the 4790k but would the build ihave made up work overall? because it fits in my price range :p

I gave you the reasons why i couldn't get behind some of the other choices and gave you cheaper higher performing options instead.

Case is outdated, cheaper option provided
RAM is more expensive than faster options
You don't have a CPU cooler or auxillary case cooling
The $65 discount on the MoBo / CPU combo has expired so the 4790k build is now more expensive
