CPU - Intel Core i5-4670

Motherboard - ASUS H87M-PLUS

HDD - Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB

GPU - R9 280X

Memory - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB Model F3-12800CL7D-8GBXM

comes to about £500 or so, so far.

What power supply would you guys recommend for this build and also a case? Thanks!

Oh, and also the case (this is up to personal preference more than anything else): http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-300r

Is the case important for the build or would i be able to just pick up something that was really cheap like £20?

A £20 would be fine as long as it has enough room for the components, although the build quality may not be as good.

the importance of a case for a gaming pc is proper airflow is should have at least have a front intake and rear exhaust fan also you should look out that the case has enough GPU clearance for the card.
