Hi All,
I know this is my first post but I'm not your typical newbie. I currently have a Netgear wireless network extender in my apartment which connects to my home router. Both are broadcasting different SSIDs. We'll call the SSID's "Main" and "Main_EXT." Over the last couple days, for whatever reason, when I connect to the "Main" network, I cannot get an internet connection at all. The DHCP server is handing out the IP to my laptop, but I can't browse. However, if I connect to "Main_EXT," I can browse just fine (which is strange because "Main_EXT" is simply a wireless extender that essentially extends the range of "Main"). Doesn't make any sense to me.. and this happened for no reason.
Also, when I connect to "Main" and attempt to browse to 192.168.1.1, no luck. But I can get there when connected to "Main_EXT." I'm not too sure what the issue could be. Anyone have any ideas?
The router broadcasting "Main" is a Cisco Linksys E2500 running Firmware Version: 1.0.03
I checked the DHCP Client table and there are currently 4 devices connected wirelessly.
I've rebooted the router multiple times, unplugged the the modem and router as well.. no luck. I'm troubleshooting on both a Lenovo Thinkpad running Windows 7 and a MacBook Pro OS X v10.9.4
