I'm really curious to if they fixed that problem the 4770k had, where you had to crack it up (delid it) in order not to melt it.

Did they fix that problem on these new cpu chips?

Solution
I'm inclined to agree with barbernet_1 but not so much on Joseph DeGarmo. I have an i5-4690k, and trust me, Devil's Canyon didn't "solve" heat issues. It helped, but man I cranked my FX-6300 to 4.6 GHz at almost 1.44 V and it wouldn't even break 65 degrees under stress testing in Prime95. My i5-4690k on the other hand, I could only push to 4.3 GHz at 1.15 and stress testing put me at 90. Massive difference.
