I got a Core i5 2400 Upto 3.4Ghz
4gb ram ( upgrading)
GTX 750 ti Oced Boosts Upto 1189Mhz and 5.4Ghz memory

I OCed it +111 core clock and 450 memory clock.
Temps from 56-57 goes to 58-59. Max 60 ( I have Added 120mm fan on side.)
Results are this 1300Mhz Boost Clock , 6.3Ghz Memory Clock
Memory clock is stable , core clock is little bit varying when Power Hits 100%.

In Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Caspian Border 64 Players 1080p Ultra Preset
@Spot 1 i got 59 to 65fps after OC
@Spot 2 I got 55 to 61 fps After OC.

Q:Is the OC worth it?
Q:Is it safe?
Q:What about warranty?

The overclock is going to put added stress on your system and I dont know of a single manufacturer that honors a warranty if they discover that any of the hardware has been overclocked.
for 4FPS I personally dont think its worth it.

That isn't much of a overclock and what added power consumption as well heat is very small, its not like the old days when you can kamikaze clock for some huge gains. Just make sure that everything is not running hot and that tiny overclock won't hurt life span wise unless the vrm side of things is running hot. Seen a lot of cards that had amazing core temps but the vrms were over 100c during normal use stock.

Just feel the back of the card with the back of your hand, don't apply pressure but if it hot like a pot of coffee then they are near or over their rated limit. If the back is only lightly warm to solid warm but not hot then everything is fine. If you had a infra red thermometer or camera you could check the hot spots. Rated limit is 115c.

Q:Is the OC worth it? - Upside is 10 fps faster ... downside is ... I don't see any

Q:Is it safe? .... .... wouldn't worry about temps until > 82-84C

Q:What about warranty? ..... no issue .... MSI has the AfterBurner overclocking utility as a free download on its website .....Asus has the GPUtweak overclocking utility as a free download on its website ..... EVGA has the PrecisionXoverclocking utility as a free download on its website ..... what would be their basis for denying a warranty claim .... that you used the OC utility that you d/l'ed from their web site ????

You can check VRM temps with GPUz..... nVidia has locked down both physically and legally what vendors can do with overclocking and added voltages..... it's a ling tome gone since the GTX 570 when cards with stock PCBs and stock VRMs (i.e EVGA SC series) got fried as peeps cranked up voltages to get better OCs. Now the amount of voltage you can add w/o modded BIOSs or physically modded cards id very small...below which can cause any damage under normal operating conditions.

Each build we do here gets set up with various OC profiles in BIOS:

1. Stock
2. Stock w/ XMP
3. 24/7 OC .... CPU at 75C (Default)
4. "Bawlz to the "Wall" OC

Afterburner profiles are set for:

1. Factory OC
2. Highest Stable Core Clock w/ 82C
3. Highest Stable Core Clock + Highest Stable Memory Clock w/ max = 84C
4. Summer Setting (above settings trimmed a bit to allow for use in un-Air Conditioned spaces in summer)

Unfortunately BF4 has lowered that bar considerably, that a 5th BIOS setting might be required "Playing BF4"

Memory Clock is stable.
Core Clock drops few Mhz when GPU power goes 100% and above.
GTX 750 ti strictly restricts power consumption below 100% i.e 38.5watts.
Its perfectly stable at 1270Mhz but if i go above it varies.
