From what I was told, my motherboard is Acer 8i945ae, dual channel, currently running on 4 sticks of 512MB RAM each.
The CPU-Z scan of the motherboard: http://postimg.org/image/y74kmt0ev/
Recently I have bought a 4GB Kit* (2x2GB) - DDR2 400MHz (Part Number: KTH-MLG4/4G), but after placing it inside the computer the computer starts and gets stuck on a blank screen.
I have looked around for solutions, yet found nothing that worked.
Any ideas?

no ploblem, honestly i cant think of anything else. it is highly unlikely both sticks are dead. have them checked and try swapping to a 4x1gb if you can!

for starters try only one stick at a time. after a quick search i found that it supports 4gb max.

''4 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM slots Supports Dual Channel DDR2 400/533/667 MHz non-ECC, un-buffered memory (Max 4GB)''

it may support 4gb of ram but limited to 1gb per slot!

So, if I'm understanding right, these 2GB ones will not work because of that limitation?

No error whatsoever. The computer starts, power light is on, the fans are working, but the screen stays blank.

yes, im pretty sure that 1gb /slot limitation is the problem here.

Ah, that makes sense, I've known about the 4GB limit, but not about the 1GB/slot. Thank you for the help
