Hello,
I'm having some problems with my graphics.I downloaded drivers for my ATI Radeon HD 6630M gpu from official Dell site (my laptop is Dell vostro 3550) even though, according to Dell's site these drivers were meant for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6470. Here's a link to this driver : http://goo.gl/J9o8KJ. Everything seemed to work fine, but recently I encountered problems with Chrome browser and MS Office 2013. These applications kept freezing. I decided to download the AMD autodetect tool to get the latest drivers for my gpu and it seemed to solve my problems, but I found another problem with Catalyst Control Center. It doesn't let me to select gpu for each application, even the option is not displayed in the menu. Maybe someone had the same problem and knows how to solve it? Here's how my CCC looks like now:

That happens to me too. What I did, un-installed both CCC and the the AMD auto detect. Then, just install the AMD auto detect tool and let the system figure out which driver is needed. Hope this works for you too.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I uninstalled all AMD software before running autodetect. Even downloading drivers from AMD site for 6xxx series mobility graphics didn't help.
