So I've decided to buy the new Asus 27" LED G-Sync ROG SWIFT PG278Q.
I will have to upgrade my GPU as I'm currently running AMD gpu's and G-sync does not those.

I'm really, really bad with computert parts, and trying to find a good GPU is extremely hard as there is so many of them out there, with the same specs at different prices and all kinds of confusing stuff.

So if anyone got time to help me find a new GPU, I'd be greatful!
It needs to:
Support G-sync.
Support the Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX motherboard.
be good. I'm not only buying a new gpu to support G-sync, I'm buying it because my old one needs a upgrade.

Anything over 1000$ is out of the picture, seeing as I'm going to use most of my cash on the ROG Swift!

Thanks!

Anything over $1000 is out of the picture, but what is the max you're willing to go?

A single GeForce 780 Ti will drive respectable framerates from that monitor just fine. But if you want higher FPS, you could do SLI 780s and get in just under $1000. The Sabertooth 990FX will support either of those configurations.

Thanks for answering!

What do you mean by respectable framerates?
As I'm going to buy a 144hz monitor, I'd love the frames to go over that ofcourse.
I normally play CS:GO, but I will probably play some more demanding games in the future...

What do you think my FPS would be in a game like CS:GO with the GeForce 780Ti?

A single 780 Ti will hit in the 50 to 70 FPS range on most graphic intensive games (Battlefield 4, Metro: Last Light, etc.) at 1440p. With GSync, this can look very smooth. For CS:Go, being a bit less intensive and running off the Source engine, could run quite a bit closer to 100 FPS, but I can't find any 1440P benchmarks on it.

Hitting close to 144 FPS helps, but going over won't, as GSync will cap you at 144 FPS anyway. It doesn't want you to generate frames faster than the monitor can output. Dual 780s will get you pretty close to the 90 FPS mark on most of those games. You're driving 77% more pixels than 1080p, so this is pretty taxing on even the current graphics cards, keep that in mind. My SLI Titans don't even break 100 FPS on BF4 anymore, but GSync keeps anything above 35 FPS looking buttery smooth, since you won't get any tearing or stuttering.
