Hello all!

I come looking for advice once more. I've had problems recently with my GFX card to the point where it's pretty much dead. After doing some research and seeking advice on here I came to the conclusion that the Radeon R9 280 for $190 was the best card for my budget.

The problem is I went to go install it today and it was HUGE. I had been told it was big but did not expect this. I had to remove the cage that holds my second hard drive just to get it in and when trying to close my case it won't because the card is too tall.

Here's the catch, I don't use a gaming case. I have a Home Theater case http://www.origenae.co.kr/en/htpc_x11_v1.htm

Put those two combined plus the fact that this case is probably 6-7 years old now and I think it's time for an upgrade. Can you please recommend me a case that will fit my card AND is budget friendly? I'm trying to keep it as low as possible as this is a cost I was not counting on.

would highly reccommend the phanteks enthoo pro, understated yet stylish case that can be totally customized with removable drive cages, plenty of air filtration, and at a great price.

Let me know if that's a little too high price-wise.

Depends on your budget, and what you like. I bought the Corsair 450D recently it's awesome...

Honestly I was trying to keep it between $50-$100 leaning towards the bottom end of spectrum but I'm also not going to buy POS that I will need to replace soon or won't fit the card and my two hard drives. It will have to be a compromise between the best budget case out there and the quality :(

Corsair 400R, fractal define r4 (on sale), corsair 330r, Cooler Master n300, corsair carbide 300r, Graphite Series 230T Grey, or any of the nzxt phantom 410s.

keep seeing the ostrog show up, just have beef with the lack of 2.5 bay (for ssd) and the tight cable management space.

It actually has decent cable management for the price, and if the slots are properly used it can look quite nice:

Spoiler

The SSD problem shouldn't be a big deal unless he is building a portable rig. He could just keep it on the lowest shelf.

I'm afraid the card will not fit there at all, it is very large. 11.2" long.

That's an average sized card.

From the case's specs:

Maximum Video Card Length:

11.26" (286mm) With Drive Cages

16.26" (413mm) Without Drive Cages

It will fit without any cage removal.

Perfect. I went ahead and ordered it, cheap and looks very nice with good reviews.

I found an old mid ATX one I used to own http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

But according to the specs on it, it only fits 11" GFX card, so it won't work for me as the drive cage is not removable like this one.

EDIT: oops

I only buy budget cases but I only buy them after rebates. The Antec GX500 is solid and is made for really really long video cards. It has function power supply filter and front intake filters along with a fan controller. The Cougar Black Steel and the NZXT 210 (Elite) are toolless and well built however they either don't come with a power supply filter or the filter won't fit with a power supply installed.
