My rig is connected trough a DVI-HDMI connector to my TV that has 1440x900 default resolution. When i set any resolution on the PC section in Nvdia Control Panel I receive a black screen with a message "Function not available" (which I think is the same as mode not supported). Any resolution on the "Ultra HD, HD, SD Section" (480p, 720p and 1080i) works, but gets blurry and out of place. If i uninstall the drivers, or enter in safe mode, the 1440x900 works fine.
Completely weird... I have tried create a custom resolution without success. I don't understand about all this stuff, but i think the problem is when the driver says to the TV that she is working on "PC mode", she just refuses to do anything.
What can I do ? My TV works so well, i am not planning to change it...

PS: My video card is a GeForce 560GTX and the display works fine on VGA, but the input is messed up and the screen gets red, that's why I use HDMI

PS2: The Bios screen shows perfectly

It doesn't work properly, the option is just there in NVDIA control panel, but it gets really crappy. I took a pic of it, but I don't know how to post it :p

Ahh ok, tv scales it back down. No pic needed. LoL
I have a 720p tv in the kids room and it just wont show 1080 from the pc or xbox but 1080 content from the antenna works like yours. LoL

It doesnt look like it supprts that resolution thru dvi or hdmi ports and wants you to use the dsub/svga connector.
Quote:
HDMI/DVI IN terminal does not support PC

the dsub supports these resolutions:
640 x 480
800 x 600
1024 x 768
1280 x 1024
1440 x 900

Right, but when I select the 1440x900 resolution the monitor shows "mode not supported", but in VGA I can use it properly.
