The speakers on my Asus VG248QE monitor - no sound at all - I am connected via DVI with no other connections. Not sure if this is the problem? no experience with DVI.

I installed the case (Cooler Master CM 690 III) connectors and chose to connect HD audio instead of the Azalia (?) Ac97.

I have a pair of Razer Kraken 7.1 USB headphones fresh out of the box - No audio!, regardless as to whether I plug them into the front panel I/O case connectors in front of case or directly into the mobo I/O panel at the rear :(

Have downloaded all the new drivers etc.

No idea what I am, doing wrong. Please help !

many thanks in advance!

on the audio issue start with the mb and check in the bios on onboard devices that the sound chipset is on. for the front case audio make sure the audio cable on the right port on the mb. on the rear audio the green port is the main port for head phones and will be on if you set in the realtek audio software to speakers. also there a check box in the control panel to make both the front and rear port to be on at the same time. for the tv speakers you have to set the amd or nvidia hdmi audio drivers as the main audio output to play through the tv speakers.

Hi chaps, appreciate your help! I apparently had to plug in the green audio in wire to get the speakers to work with DVI - I thought the point of DVI is that it can can carry both audio and visual signals!?

So I got the speakers on the monitor to work but for the life of me I cannot get anyy sound from the headset! :(
