Current build:
Mobo: ASUS M599FX Pro 2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM:G. Skill 4x4GB (16GB)
PSU: Cooler Master 750V Gold
GPU: Radeon R9 270X Sapphire Toxic

I overclocked the GPU clock from default 1150Mhz to 1160Mhz with 20% powerboost, while I kept the memory clock at the default 1500Mhz. Afterwards I played a couple of my games like Modern Warfare 2 and the first Black Ops and I noticed 20 frame drops from the usual 60fps. What can I do?

You might have overclocked it, but if the temps are to high the GPU could be throttling down to compensate. Could just need some more voltage.

I added 10% more voltage and it didn't do much. The card runs idle at 21C and 45C when playing high demanding games.

use this and scan for artifacts if there are artifects you have overclocked it to far or need to add voltage

I tried to use the program, but it only supported windows XP and I have Windows 7. It also only worked for ATI and Nvidia cards.

do you get the original fps if you return it to stock clock at least?

I am starting to wonder if this is more of a driver or bios issue and not actually a gpu issue
