The GTX 980/970 is dropping in 12 days and that will drop the prices of the GTX 780. Should I go with this build (Which I really want to order everything on friday) or wait another 2 weeks D:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MCcTFT

This build will be able to do everything but the GTX 780 is better and will be out in 2 weeks.

How much will the GTX 780 drop because I need the budget to be below $1250 before mail in rebates and promos so the base total not the total.

The GTX 780 is $400+ will it drop $100 because if not I still wont be able to buy it.

if it wont I think I will just go with the build I posted above.

The 780 is out now. The build can not do everything a 780 can do:

1. Outta the box, the 780 is about 18% faster than the 280x

2. Overclocked "bawlz to the wall", the 780 is faster than the 290x.

Remember that it is **rumored** to drop in 12 days .... no guarantees
The 970 is expected to drop at $400 and it's faster than the 780..... given what peeps who have seen more than I have seen it's expected to top 780 Ti / Titan speeds when overclocked.

Sooo.... same answer as your original post:
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2291009/cooler-212-evo.html

To my mind, the Asus 780 at $420 is the best buy on newegg but I say some good prices on some R9s on partpicker that weren't anywhere near that on newegg ..... so I guess newegg hasn't caught up yet.

The $530 780 Ti is a pretty cheap price too on the surface but considering that the 980 is faster and is reported to be $499, why get a last gen card that's slower for more $ ?

The $399 970 is faster than the 290 so no more 290s at $400 - $470. Overclocked, it's expected to top every single GPU card we can buy today.

If that proves true, there won't be a single card on the market today that will be worth over $400 ..... again **if** that holds true. When the 780 Ti came out, it drive the 780 price down $200 in one day.

So I'd wait 11 days and see what happens.

At the very least, prices have been dropping daily....wait at least until Friday and see how it goes.

And yes deals and discounts end all the time .... only to be replaced by more discounts and more coupons..... unless you see something really outta whack, no worries there.

I made a new post cause that one was kinda about the cooler. And friday is the day I was planning on buying the parts.

Has to be less than the faster 970 tho....at $399.....most 780's are still $500+...., so definitely $100 below that ..... Asus is at now $420.... MSI is $450. If we had a pool going, I'd say $350 - $375 ..... but I could easily see this as a marketing ploy with an intended leak to push AMD to show their hand and drop prices .... and then hold off till October or November. They could also release the 980 and not the 970 to hold up proces a bit and clear stocks.

It has to be like $320 or below no higher than that.
