Yes you would. That CPU wasn't very good when it was released, 6yrs ago. Tried finding a CPU support list, but came up empty. Some old reviews of your board used a AMD Phenom II X4 940. That is probably the best you are going to get. The 940 would be ok, with that GPU. What is your current CPU?
a amd anthlon 64 x2 5600 and i have a radeon 6670 in this machine but i wanna build it up and i have seen peaple with the same board i have they say all the phenoms work just not the ones above 965 i have been looking on ebay i dont wanna spend more than 60 bucks on the cpu and it needs to come with a heatsink i already have some arctic silver 5

Ignore any and all Phenom 1 chips. They were horrible in performance. They were actually slower than Athlon 64 X2, except in multithreaded situations, that could take advantage of all 4 cores. The stock cooler from the FX 4130 would be sufficient.

That one would be far better than a Phenom I. Some games are starting to take advantage of 4 or more threads, so a blanket statement like you just made isn't actually true. It highly depends on the titles you are playing.

do you think it is compatible with my motherboard i know theres been peaple that have put the 940 and 965 etc and its am2+ i just want your approval to be sure im on the right track because i wanna utilize the full gpu performance like i did on my main gaming rig till i upgraded the gpu
