would i be bottlenecked if i purchesed a amd phenom 9850 for pc my gpu is a amd radeon 5850 1gb gddr5 4gb gskill ddr2 and a landark dk790 fx m2rsh thanks for the help

Yes you would. That CPU wasn't very good when it was released, 6yrs ago. Tried finding a CPU support list, but came up empty. Some old reviews of your board used a AMD Phenom II X4 940. That is probably the best you are going to get. The 940 would be ok, with that GPU. What is your current CPU?

a amd anthlon 64 x2 5600 and i have a radeon 6670 in this machine but i wanna build it up and i have seen peaple with the same board i have they say all the phenoms work just not the ones above 965 i have been looking on ebay i dont wanna spend more than 60 bucks on the cpu and it needs to come with a heatsink i already have some arctic silver 5

do you think it is compatible with my motherboard i know theres been peaple that have put the 940 and 965 etc and its am2+ i just want your approval to be sure im on the right track because i wanna utilize the full gpu performance like i did on my main gaming rig till i upgraded the gpu
