Hello all!

I just completed a build and cannot seem to change the RAM settings in the bios. The system says that my DDR3 is 1333mhz when it clearly is not. I have tried enabling XMP profile but my system then boots continuously with the mobo showing a red LED next to the RAM. The odd thing is..when I enable xmp profile for the RAM it shows the exact same recommended settings as the manufacturer (crucial). I am puzzled.

Can anyone help? I have not yet contacted Asus as they have a massive questionaire that must be filled out before I can ask this Q.

This is irritating as I buiilt the machine to play BF4 with ultra settings on a 144hz monitor :(

Hope someone can help. Many thnaks in advance for any replies!

My build is as follows

Do you have the latest BIOS? Might be a BIOS issue. Are the sticks in slots 1-3 from CPU or 2-4, might try changing that. Could try adding about + 0.05 to the DRAM voltage in the event it's a slightly weak MC....Could run memtest to see if you have a bad stick (best to run maybe overnight (even running 4-5 passes takes a Long time

Hi Tradesman! Ram slots on my board are A1 A2 B1 B2 with A1 being the closest to my CPU and B2 being furthest away. The manual says in order to use dual channel mode I place into A2 and B2. This is what I did. I want max performance hence the 2x4 gig dual channel kit :(

I will check mem test out too thank you very much for your help.
