I have been debating this for too long now! The AMD FX 6300, or the Intel i3-4130. I can't decide! Here's my PC list parts in case your wondering: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HT8rpg
Everywhere I go, people say the FX 6300. Everywhere I go, people say the i3-4130. I don't plan to overclock, and I don't really plan to upgrade in the future. I just wanted a decent Budget PC that I can deal with for a long time, and play games like Battlefield 4, Far Cry 3, Skyrim, and others like that on Medium-High settings. So what do you think? Also, while your at it, if you know a good motherboard that is under $100 and/or fits into my budget and list nicely, I'm all in.
Thanks!

Loagainofhades build is a pretty sweet setup. That CPU should play any title at ultra at the moment. Plus lets you have the ability to upgrade, although you said you don't plan on that in the future.

Here is what I came up with. I went a little over budget by about $20, but I was able to squeeze a 280x into it. Let me know what changes you would like.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($106.02 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.00 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5"...
I personally like the 6300 because of it's 6 threads over the i3's 4 threads. I think it will come in handy in the future when here are more multi-threaded applications/games out. They are pretty close in single core performance, with the i3 being a bit better.

Are you set on that case, or could I suggest a few changes to your build?

Thanks for the response! You can suggest some changes for the build. If you mean computer case, I'm pretty set on the 200r, but you can still suggest something else. Anything can change.

Here I brought the GPU down to a 280 and added a SSD. Ends up at only $10 over budget.
