Okay. This is my first post and I just wanted to see the value of my 2010-ish rig before I start asking the community about upgrades, optimizations, all that stuff. It's served me really well over the years although newer games need an updated gpu.

YAH SPECIFICATIONS
Windows 7 Professional 64
CPU: Intel i7 950 quad core @ 3.07GHZ
Motherboard: MSI MS-7522 (X58 Pro-E)
Hard Drive: Hitachi 500GB Sata
RAM: 8gb PC3-10600 DDR3
Graphics: GeForce GTS 450
PSU: 650w, I think.

I don't have plans to sell it right now, but if I ever need to sell it off for college or I decide to go for a different motherboard/cpu architecture I'd like to get a good idea of what it is worth.
If any of you see this and make any kind of reply, thanks a lot.

Any number someone quotes you is bogus. The truth is it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. You may have some people only willing to only pay $300 for it. On the other hand you may get some sucker to pay $1000 for it. On top of that value goes down as it gets older. A bit of salesmanship goes a long way.

That is definitely true to a certain point. But the "Any number someone quotes you is bogus." is not somethign I agree with. That number is a baseline or a general consensus that can be derived from experienced people offering their educated opinions. I personally would never buy used. But you can take a look at what a comparable system would cost to build now and factor in that you have already used the PC for so long already.

Thanks for the answers so far, everyone. I don't mean to be too demanding with asking, but this is a forum so I decided to get to the meat of it.
ddpruitt, I understand that value of something changes from person to person, but I'm looking for the economic value, what people at large would think the PC should be worth when factoring in the age and use of the parts while considering their usefulness and dependability in modern PC gaming. Somewhere between the $300 bargain-hunter and the $1000 maniac.
