Hi everyone,
so I just got a new SSD for my new laptop and so the only way for me to install it is from a bootable USB drive of Windows that I have saved.
For me to use that USB, I had to go in BIOS and switch it to Legacy Mode (it was originally on UEFI with the original hard drive that came with the laptop) then after that, I can access the boot menu and boot from the USB drive.
Once everything is installed, I believe everything is working but it is still legacy mode in BIOS, is this a big deal? Will being in legacy mode while using a SSD lower its performance causing slower than advertised load times and speeds?
Also just a note my laptop does not have a CD/DVD drive. Not sure if this matters for installation purposes.
