So I've had my computer for a year or two. I must say I'm not a fan of the company I got it from, (it was a Christmas present) but the computer itself besides the weird problems which I will describe, is a really nice computer. However it does weird things, when I first got it, about 30% of the time if I plugged in something into the usb ports it would either turn the computer off or the monitors would lose signal. It doesn't do it anymore, now about every ten minutes anything connected via USB loses power so I lose internet (wireless adapter) my keyboard, my mouse, my headset, etc. Now my computer is turning off like it's overheating but even when I turned it off and left it off for a few hours when I booted it back on it turned off within 5 minutes (the computer didn't even finish booting to the desktop. I've replaced the power supply and added 2 fans and nothing seems to work... it keeps having really weird symptoms and I'm beginning to believe it may be the motherboard but im not sure...

P.S.: we added 50 watts with the new power supply

We just recently got a corsair cx 750 powersupply replacing a 700w XtremeGear PSU. According to the BIOS, the CPU got as high as 180F but when I booted it up after a while with it turned off the BIOS said it was at 110F so I don't know how accuate it is. Besides the BIOS temperatures, I can't measure it because the computer shuts off before it boots up. I just took it apart and there was virtually no dust inside of it but icleaned off what I could find

180 is too much, it's not extremely dangerously high but certainly is high. The motherboard can detect this and automatically shut off to prevent fires and damaging. This is what would be happening to you. First, check to make sure the CPU fan is running properly. Secondly, reapply thermal paste to your CPU.

Yes but I don't understand how it goes from room temperature to 180 before the desktop loads... that why I'm confused. I did check the fan and it does work it spins at about 800 rpm according to the BIOS
