So I've fought this 290 and BF4 since I got the card... every other game runs fine but bf 3 and bf4 on it... runs different like every few weeks. I even had to get the 4790k since the 8350 didn't like the 290, and I'd drop to 40fps.
So recently in the Test Range, my FPS in the defualt spawn and then not moving the mouse at all, I only get 100-105... but with mantle in the same area I get 110-115... Also in DX11 I seem to see the r9 290 going under 60! yes under 60 a TON!
Did DirectX break in BF4? I'm on driver 14.7R3 beta, freshly and cleanly installed.
How come this 290 just never runs like people say theirs does... I played Paracel Storm and I was mainly 60-80 all match... Shouldn't it be faster?
I get normal benchmark scores, and every other game runs great... How come my favorite game is running so poorly? Anyone else expereince this? how can people's 770's hold 60+, but my R9 290 not... how come these 780's are 80-100fps, and I'm 60-100 WITH the help of mantle and a Tri-X verison of the card...
