Hard Drive Hidden

After installing a malicious program and hard rebooting during the process my hard drive is hidden. The HDD does no show up in the BIOS, in device manager, in my computer, in any third party program, etc... When I have it in a PC on its own it goes to BIOS splash screen, then to windows load briefly, them to a black screen. When I put it into another PC with a working HDD, I get a black screen with white text advising me to scan the HDD for issues, it finds no issue and boots to my working HDD.

How can I unhide the HDD when it doesn't show in device manager/disc management?

Hey there, akray21!

What is your system configuration? Unfortunately, your drive might be dead from the looks of it.
Since you've already tried it on another computer and it still appears to give you errors. I'd suggest to RMA the drive, because it is most probably faulty. I recommend to contact HDD manufacturer's tech support ASAP. If your drive is still under warranty, you might get a replacement.
Hopefully, you do have all the data on this faulty drive backed up somewhere. Otherwise I'd advice to contact a data recovery company.

Hope this will help you.
Good luck!

So I found the HDD in my working machine after booting in safe mode. Looks like the virus was hiding my HDD. I am going to wipe it and see if it works. Thanks.
